Introduction

Dr. Shivananda graduated in medicine from Jagadguru Jayadeva Murugarajendra Medical College, Karnataka,, MS from Osmania Medical College, Hyderabad. He did Cornea and Anterior Segment Microsurgery fellowship from Aravind Eye Hospital, Puducherry. His expertise includes Corneal Diseases, Corneal Transplantation including Lamellar Corneal Surgeries, Amniotic Membrane Transplantation, Ocular Surface Reconstruction, Cataract Surgeries and Corneal Refractive Surgeries.

He has a number of National and International Research Publications and he was the part of MUTT I, MUTT II clinical Trials. He is currently working as Consultant and Heads the Department of Cornea and Refractive services, Aravind Eye Hospital, Puducherry.  He is also the member of All India Ophthalmic Society, Cornea Society of India, and Tamil Nadu Ophthalmic Society.
