Instruction for patients
Patients referred to Aravind have to bring recent medical reports along with the referral letter. After registration, he or she will be taken to the appropriate specialty clinic.

After registration, the patient will be guided through a comprehensive eye examination involving several tests and a doctors examination. A typical eye examination for a patient with minor vision problems will take about 2 hours. If a patient requires further tests, they may be directed to one of our speciality clinics for expert management.
In all of our hospitals, our staff will do their best to make sure that all tests are completed on the same day. However, depending on the time of your visit and the patient crowd, you may be requested to return on another day for further tests.
Rooms
Patients who require surgery or monitoring are required to get admitted to the hospital. Patients can choose from the different types of rooms based on the availability. At the time of counseling, the counselors will assist you in selecting the room, surgical techniques and implants available. Here are the different types of accommodation facilities available:

Our newest hospital in Tirupati may not have all the accommodation types at the moment. Please enquire during counselling.
Many of the surgeries are being done as day care procedures. Patients undergoing day care procedures need not stay in the hospital after the surgery.
Rooms can be reserved in advance following the doctor’s advice to get admitted for surgery or treatment.
Discharge Procedure
Patients are requested to vacate the room before 10:00 am on the day of discharge. Instructions regarding post-operative care and medications, along with discharge summary, will be given at the time of discharge.
Billing and Insurance
On admission, a deposit equivalent to or approximate to the treatment or surgery charges will be collected. The balance, if any, will be collected / refunded at the time of discharge. Bills are payable in cash, with insurance claims, if any. Credit cards are also accepted.

Security Instructions
Patients are advised not to bring valuables to the hospital. Do not hand over money or valuables to strangers. Closed circuit camera is installed in the wards for the safety of patients.
Facilities available
Vegetarian restaurant is located within the hospital premises and is open from 6:30 am to 9 pm. Breakfast, lunch and dinner are available.
Medical shop functions from 7:30 am to 8 pm on all working days (Monday through Saturday). It is also open on Sundays, from 9 am to 1 pm.
General instructions to visitors and patients
The hospital solicits cooperation for maintaining a quiet ambience. Children are strictly not allowed to visit or stay with the patient.
Please avoid tipping the hospital staff under any circumstance.
