After a gap of two years, All India Ophthalmological Society had its annual national conference conducted in person, at Mumbai in the first week of June. Many Aravind doctors won awards at this conference, including the Chairman, Dr. R.D. Ravindran bestowed with the Dr. Gullapalli N Rao Endowment Lecture Award.

With a view to educate the general public on eye care and eye diseases, Aravind Eye Hospitals regularly observe special days arranging programmes that are of interest to the public. Myopia Awareness Week was observed across the centres with prime focus on educating children and their parents on proper eye care.

Aravind’s secondary care centre at Dindigul is all set to move to a new facility in July.
